Cypress Bay Lightning (Weston, FL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host McArthur Mustangs (Hollywood, FL), 53-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cypress Bay upgrades its record to 10-3 on the season. The Lightning travel to St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, FL) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 28. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 11-2. St. Thomas Aquinas won 66-32 in their recent league bout against Flanagan (Pembroke Pines, FL)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Fort Lauderdale Flying L's (Fort Lauderdale, FL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 30. McArthur will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Flying L's go into the bout with a 9-6 record after their 86-60 non-league win over Chaminade-Madonna (Hollywood, FL).
