Virginia High School Basketball - Western Branch tops Great Bridge

Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA) and the host Great Bridge Wildcats (Chesapeake, VA), saw Western Branch's basketball squad knock off Great Bridge by a count of 70-61.

With the victory, Western Branch upgrades its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Bruins host Indian River (Chesapeake, VA) to play the Braves in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 3. The Braves come into the challenge with a record of 3-5.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Oscar Smith Tigers (Chesapeake, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Great Bridge will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 9-0 record after their 74-38 non-league win over Lakeland (Suffolk, VA).
