Illinois High School Basketball - Armstrong tipped by Coal City

The Coal City Coalers basketball team scored 48 points and held the host Armstrong Trojans to 46 in the Coalers non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Coalers now sport a 9-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wilmington for a Illinois Central 8 contest on Tuesday, January 30. Coal City will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 48-44 league win over Reed-Custer (Braidwood, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 12-6.
The Trojans (12-12) will now prepare for their contest against Watseka (Watseka, IL). The Warriors enter the Vermilion Valley contest with a 12-9 record. In their last contest, Watseka was nudged by Westville (Westville, IL), 41-36, in a league contest.
