The Byron Tigers basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Lutheran Crusaders to 51 in the Tigers league triumph on Saturday.
The Tigers now sport a 19-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Dixon for a Big Northern game on Tuesday, January 30. Byron will face a Dukes & Duchesses team coming off a 63-61 non-league loss to McHenry (McHenry, IL). The Dukes & Duchesses record now stands at 19-4.
With the defeat, Lutheran moves to 15-9 on the year. The Crusaders travel to Oregon (Oregon, IL) to face the Hawks in a Big Northern game on Tuesday, January 30. The Hawks enter the game with a record of 13-11. Oregon won 63-43 in their recent non-league battle against Amboy (Amboy, IL)
