In Saturday's non-league outing, the Webster Groves Statesmen (Webster Groves, MO) basketball squad edged the visiting Central Bulldogs (Springfield, MO), by a count of 59-55.

The Statesmen (13-4) will now prepare for their outing against McCluer (Florissant, MO). The Comets go into the Suburban - Yellow outing with a 2-14 record.

The Bulldogs now hold a 13-5 record. They play next when they host Kickapoo for a Ozarks outing on Tuesday, January 30. Central will clash with a Chiefs squad coming off a 53-48 non-league win over Jefferson City (Jefferson City, MO). The Chiefs record now stands at 17-2.
