High Plains Storm (Polk, NE) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Elba Bluejays (Elba, NE), 53-26 in a non-league bout.

With the win, High Plains improves its record to 9-5 on the campaign. The Storm host Meridian (Daykin, NE) to play the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 4-10. Meridian lost 72-70 in their recent non-league challenge against High Plains (Polk, NE)

Next up, the Bluejays play the Palmer Tigers (Palmer, NE) in a D2 District 4 challenge, on Monday, January 29. Elba will attempt to improve on its 0-13 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 1-11 record after their 80-16 non-league loss to Riverside (Cedar Rapids, NE).
