Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Wynford Royals (Bucyrus, OH) and the host Elgin Comets (Marion, OH), saw Wynford's basketball squad knock off Elgin by a count of 70-58.

With the victory, Wynford upgrades its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Royals host Carey (Carey, OH) to play the Blue Devils in a Northern 10 challenge on Thursday, February 1. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a record of 9-5. Carey lost 55-54 in their recent league challenge against Seneca East (Attica, OH)

Next up, the Comets play the Lucas Cubs (Lucas, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Elgin will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record. The Cubs come into the challenge with a 10-3 record after their 82-30 league win over St. Peter's (Mansfield, OH).
