Greece Athena Trojans (Rochester, NY) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting University Prep Griffins (Rochester, NY), 62-60 in a league bout.

With the victory, Greece Athena upgrades its record to 12-0 on the campaign. The Trojans host Pittsford (Pittsford, NY) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 1. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 9-4.

Next up, the Griffins play the Aquinas Institute Little Irish (Rochester, NY) in a Section 5 Private Parochial bout, on Saturday, February 3. University Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record.
