In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Meridian Bobcats basketball team scored a tight 69-63 triumph over the Harrisburg Bulldogs.
In their next game, the Bobcats meet the Dongola Demons (Dongola, IL) in a South Egyptian match, on Monday, January 29. Meridian will attempt to move on its 17-7 season record. The Demons enter the match with a 1-18 record after their 59-53 league loss to Shawnee (Wolf Lake, IL).
With the defeat, Harrisburg moves to 13-13 on the year. The Bulldogs host Massac County (Metropolis, IL) to meet the Patriots in a Southern Illinois River-to-River - Ohio match on Friday, February 2. The Patriots enter the match with a record of 16-6.
