Union City Bears (Union City, PA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Jamestown Muskies (Jamestown, PA), 38-34 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Union City upgrades its record to 2-13 on the season. The Bears host Saegertown (Saegertown, PA) to clash with the Panthers in a District 10 Region 2 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 11-5. Saegertown won 57-37 in their recent league bout against Youngsville (Youngsville, PA)

Next up, the Muskies clash with the Kennedy Catholic (Hermitage, PA) in a District 10 Region 1 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Jamestown will attempt to upgrade on its 4-11 season record. The go into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 82-40 league loss to Farrell (Farrell, PA).
