The West Springfield Spartans basketball team (Springfield, VA), was overwhelmed 70-45 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Kecoughtan Warriors (Hampton, VA)
The Warriors now possess a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bethel for a Peninsula battle on Tuesday, January 30. Kecoughtan will battle a Bruins team coming off a 63-46 league loss to Hampton (Hampton, VA). The Bruins record now stands at 8-9.
The Spartans (4-12) will now prepare for their battle against South County (Lorton, VA). The Stallions come into the District 4 battle with a 11-6 record. In their last battle, South County trounced Fairfax (Fairfax, VA), 63-60, in a league battle.
