The Roosevelt Roughriders basketball team scored 64 points and restricted the visiting Linn-Mar Lions to 52 in the Roughriders non-league victory on Saturday.

The Roughriders now sport a 11-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mason City for a Freelance contest on Tuesday, January 30. Roosevelt will battle a Mohawks team coming off a 83-51 non-league loss to Waverly-Shell Rock (Waverly, IA). The Mohawks record now stands at 2-14.

The Lions (11-8) will now prepare for their contest against Washington (Cedar Rapids, IA). The Warriors come into the Mississippi Valley contest with a 10-8 record. In their last contest, Washington was defeated by Kennedy (Cedar Rapids, IA), 85-30, in a league contest.
