The Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood Mavericks (Renville, ND) basketball nipped the host South Prairie/Max (Minot, ND), 58-51 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Mavericks (10-4) will now prepare for their test against Our Redeemer's Christian (Minot, ND). The Knights go into the B District 8 test with a 10-6 record. In their last test, Our Redeemer's Christian was tipped by Des Lacs-Burlington (Des Lacs, ND), 54-49, in a non-league test.
The now own a 8-6 record. They play next when they travel to Rugby for a A Region 3 test on Monday, January 29. South Prairie/Max will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 57-45 non-league loss to Shiloh Christian (Bismarck, ND). The Panthers record now stands at 3-7.
