The Philip Scotties basketball team scored 61 points and held the host Newell Irrigators to 27 in the Scotties non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Scotties now sport a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Underwood for a B Region 7 contest on Tuesday, January 30. Philip will meet a Tigers team coming off a 51-39 non-league win over Harding County (Buffalo, SD). The Tigers record now stands at 7-4.

The Irrigators (3-10) will now prepare for their contest against Edgemont (Edgemont, SD). The Moguls enter the non-league contest with a 1-13 record. In their last contest, Edgemont was routed by Hemingford (Hemingford, NE), 47-19, in a non-league contest.
