Georgia High School Basketball - Piedmont Academy crushes St. George's

January 27, 2024: Monticello, GA 31064

Piedmont Academy Cougars (Monticello, GA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting St. George's (Milner, GA), 53-32 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Piedmont Academy upgrades its record to 1-18 on the season. The Cougars host Brentwood (Sandersville, GA) to clash with the War Eagles in a GIAA AA Region 2 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The War Eagles go into the bout with a record of 14-3. Brentwood lost 62-37 in their recent league bout against Gatewood (Eatonton, GA)

Next up, the clash with the John Hancock Academy Rebels (Sparta, GA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. St. George's will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 11-6 record after their 47-46 league win over Thomas Jefferson Academy (Louisville, GA).
