Pinckneyville Panthers (Pinckneyville, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Waterloo Bulldogs (Waterloo, IL), 45-30 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pinckneyville upgrades its record to 19-6 on the season. The Panthers travel to Herrin (Herrin, IL) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 17-6. Herrin won 45-40 in their recent non-league bout against Marion (Marion, IL)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Civic Memorial Eagles (Bethalto, IL) in a Mississippi Valley bout, on Friday, February 2. Waterloo will attempt to upgrade on its 14-12 season record.
