The Pioneer Panthers basketball team (Royal Center, IN), dropped 56-48 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host South Newton Rebels (Kentland, IN)
The Rebels now possess a 2-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to DeMotte Christian for a Midwest battle on Monday, January 29. South Newton will battle a Knights team coming off a 59-50 league win over Faith Christian (Lafayette, IN). The Knights record now stands at 8-6.
The Panthers (4-11) will now prepare for their battle against North Judson-San Pierre (North Judson, IN). The Bluejays come into the Hoosier North battle with a 10-5 record. In their last battle, North Judson-San Pierre dropped by Triton (Bourbon, IN), 40-33, in a league battle.
