In Saturday's non-league outing, the St. Charles Catholic Comets (LaPlace, LA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays (Eunice, LA), by a margin of 75-26.
The Comets (15-4) will now prepare for their outing against Houma Christian (Houma, LA). The Warriors go into the non-league outing with a 13-8 record. In their last outing, Houma Christian smashed Haynes Academy (Metairie, LA), 53-45, in a non-league outing.
The Fighting Blue Jays now own a 6-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Cameron for a non-league match on Monday, January 29. St. Edmund will meet a Tarpons team coming off a 45-44 league win over Johnson Bayou (Cameron, LA). The Tarpons record now stands at 3-18.
