Virginia High School Basketball - Virginia Episcopal School nudges The Carmel School

In Saturday's non-league outing, the Virginia Episcopal School Bishops (Lynchburg, VA) basketball squad edged the visiting The Carmel School Wildcats (Ruther Glen, VA), by a count of 55-54.

The Bishops (8-8) will now prepare for their outing against The Covenant (Charlottesville, VA). The Eagles go into the Virginia Independent outing with a 5-8 record. In their last outing, The Covenant was tipped by Grace Christian School (Mechanicsville, VA), 41-27, in a non-league outing.

The Wildcats now hold a 11-12 record. They play next when they host Guardian Christian Academy for a VISAA Division IV outing on Monday, January 29. The Carmel School will clash with a Royal Knights squad coming off a 68-54 league loss to Williamsburg Christian Academy (Williamsburg, VA). The Royal Knights record now stands at 5-8.
