The Arthur County Wolves basketball team (Arthur, NE), was toppled 47-31 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Anselmo-Merna Coyotes (Merna, NE)

The Coyotes now possess a 7-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Central Valley for a D2 District 8 battle on Monday, January 29. Anselmo-Merna will confront a Cougars team coming off a 46-29 non-league win over Heartland Lutheran (Grand Island, NE). The Cougars record now stands at 10-7.

The Wolves (7-9) will now prepare for their battle against Garden County (Oshkosh, NE). The Eagles come into the D2 District 10 battle with a 5-11 record.
