The Cavemen now possess a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clovis for a 5A District 4 battle on Tuesday, January 30. Carlsbad will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 50-39 non-league win over Portales (Portales, NM). The Wildcats record now stands at 17-3.

The Rams (13-6) will now prepare for their outing against Cibola (Albuquerque, NM). The Cougars go into the 5A District 1 outing with a 2-16 record. In their last outing, Cibola was topped by Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM), 75-14, in a league outing.
