Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Harrison County Thorobreds (Cynthiana, KY) and the visiting Carroll County Panthers (Carrollton, KY), saw Harrison County's basketball squad hold off Carroll County by a count of 51-49.

With the victory, Harrison County upgrades its record to 8-13 on the campaign. The Thorobreds host Nicholas County (Carlisle, KY) to play the Bluejackets in a District 38 challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Bluejackets come into the challenge with a record of 14-6. Nicholas County lost 67-30 in their recent non-league challenge against Holy Cross (Covington, KY)

Next up, the Panthers play the Owen County Rebels (Owenton, KY) in a District 31 challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Carroll County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-14 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 8-11 record after their 54-27 league win over Gallatin County (Warsaw, KY).
