The Central Bucks East Patriots (Doylestown, PA) basketball knocked off the host Gwynedd Mercy Academy Monarchs (Gwynedd Valley, PA), 54-45 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Patriots (12-2) will now prepare for their test against Pennridge (Perkasie, PA). The Rams go into the Suburban One - Continental test with a 9-7 record. In their last test, Pennridge notched a victory over Villa Maria Academy (Malvern, PA), 27-26, in a non-league test.

The Monarchs now own a 15-3 record. They play next when they host Villa Joseph Marie for a Catholic Academies test on Tuesday, January 30. Gwynedd Mercy Academy will encounter a Jems squad coming off a 49-42 league win over Sacred Heart Academy (Bryn Mawr, PA). The Jems record now stands at 10-7.
