Portland Christian Eagles (Louisville, KY) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Christian Fellowship Eagles (Benton, KY), 51-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Portland Christian upgrades its record to 11-10 on the season. The Eagles host Francis Parker (Louisville, KY) to play the Wyverns in a District 25 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Wyverns go into the bout with a record of 1-6.

Next up, the Eagles play the Calloway County Lakers (Murray, KY) in a District 4 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Christian Fellowship will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record. The Lakers go into the bout with a 16-5 record after their 58-42 non-league win over Henry County (Paris, TN).
