Cloquet Lumberjacks (Cloquet, MN) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting North Branch Vikings (North Branch, MN), 72-60 in a league bout.

With the victory, Cloquet upgrades its record to 11-9 on the campaign. The Lumberjacks host Proctor (Proctor, MN) to play the Rails in a AA Section 7 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Rails come into the bout with a record of 14-5. Proctor lost 55-51 in their recent league bout against Grand Rapids (Grand Rapids, MN)

Next up, the Vikings play the Big Lake Hornets (Big Lake, MN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. North Branch will attempt to upgrade on its 4-13 season record. The Hornets come into the bout with a 5-10 record after their 70-53 league loss to Cambridge-Isanti (Cambridge, MN).
