The Elk River Elks basketball team scored 72 points and held the host Moorhead Spuds to 53 in the Elks league triumph on Saturday.

The Elks now sport a 11-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Centennial for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 30. Elk River will meet a Cougars team coming off a 69-36 non-league win over Robbinsdale Armstrong (Plymouth, MN). The Cougars record now stands at 9-8.

The Spuds (5-13) will now prepare for their contest against Fergus Falls (Fergus Falls, MN). The Otters enter the non-league contest with a 12-5 record. In their last contest, Fergus Falls ran past Little Falls (Little Falls, MN), 52-40, in a league contest.
