Escalante Moquis (Escalante, UT) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams Marauders (Lehi, UT), 38-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Escalante upgrades its record to 5-11 on the season. The Moquis host Milford (Milford, UT) to clash with the Tigers in a 1A Region 20 bout on Thursday, February 1. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 9-8.

Next up, the Marauders confront the Rockwell Marshals (Eagle Mountain, UT) in a 2A Region 16 challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams will attempt to improve on its 4-7 season record. The Marshals come into the challenge with a 13-6 record after their 59-13 league win over Utah Military Academy - Hill Field (Riverdale, UT).
