With the victory, Maize upgrades its record to 4-8 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Haven (Haven, KS) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 8-3.

Next up, the Owls play the Cheney Cardinals (Cheney, KS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Garden Plain will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Cardinals come into the bout with a 9-3 record after their 40-24 non-league loss to Circle (Towanda, KS).
