Kentucky High School Basketball - Greenup County knocked off by Winfield

January 27, 2024: Greenup, KY 41144

The Winfield Generals basketball team scored 36 points and held the host Greenup County Musketeers to 23 in the Generals non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Generals now sport a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nitro for a Cardinal contest on Wednesday, January 31. Winfield will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 55-32 league win over Sissonville (Charleston, WV). The Wildcats record now stands at 12-3.

The Musketeers (6-14) will now prepare for their contest against West Carter (Olive Hill, KY). The Comets enter the non-league contest with a 3-16 record. In their last contest, West Carter was outscored by Paris (Paris, KY), 60-52, in a non-league contest.
