The Pine Grove Cardinals basketball team scored 41 points and restricted the visiting Hamburg Hawks to 31 in the Cardinals non-league victory on Saturday.

The Cardinals now sport a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tamaqua for a Schuylkill County 1 contest on Monday, January 29. Pine Grove will battle a Blue Raiders team coming off a 64-39 non-league loss to Minersville (Minersville, PA). The Blue Raiders record now stands at 13-6.

The Hawks (2-10) will now prepare for their contest against Wyomissing (Wyomissing, PA). The Spartans come into the Berks County 3 contest with a 6-1 record.
