In Saturday's league match, the visiting Springfield Cougars basketball team scored a good 47-39 triumph over the Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers.
In their next game, the Cougars meet the Haverford Fords (Havertown, PA) in a Central match, on Monday, January 29. Springfield will attempt to better on its 5-6 season record.
With the defeat, Marple Newtown moves to 4-5 on the year.
