Wethersfield Flying Geese (Kewanee, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Morrison Mustangs (Morrison, IL), 58-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Wethersfield upgrades its record to 19-4 on the season. The Flying Geese travel to Monmouth United (Monmouth, IL) to clash with the Red Storm in a Lincoln Trail bout on Monday, January 29. The Red Storm go into the bout with a record of 11-8. Monmouth United lost 44-14 in their recent league bout against Abingdon/Avon (Abingdon, IL)

Next up, the Mustangs clash with the Orion Chargers (Orion, IL) in a Three Rivers - West bout, on Monday, January 29. Morrison will attempt to upgrade on its 16-11 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 3-21 record after their 46-43 non-league loss to Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] (Woodhull, IL).
