New Jersey High School Basketball - Verona overwhelmed by Newark Academy

The Newark Academy Minutemen basketball team scored 43 points and restricted the visiting Verona Hillbillies to 20 in the Minutemen non-league victory on Saturday.
The Minutemen now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Oak Knoll for a non-league contest on Monday, January 29. Newark Academy will battle a Royals team coming off a 51-35 non-league win over Kent Place (Summit, NJ). The Royals record now stands at 3-14.
The Hillbillies (10-4) will now prepare for their contest against Morris County Tech (Denville, NJ). The Devils come into the non-league contest with a 12-2 record. In their last contest, Morris County Tech triumphed over Mount Olive (Flanders, NJ), 52-29, in a non-league contest.
