In Saturday's league challenge, the Vermont Academy Wildcats (Saxtons River, VT) ice hockey team nipped the visiting Austin Prep Cougars (Reading, MA), by a margin of 3-2.

The Wildcats now possess a 1-14 record. They play next when they travel to Worcester Academy for a challenge on Sunday, January 28. Vermont Academy will play a Hilltoppers team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Berwick Academy (South Berwick, ME). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 5-12.

The Cougars (5-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Winchendon (Winchendon, MA). The Wapiti come into the challenge with a 10-13 record. In their last challenge, Winchendon was edged by Canterbury School (New Milford, CT), 7-5, in a league challenge.
