In Saturday's non-league challenge, the E.O. Smith/Tolland Bucks (Storrs, CT) ice hockey team the host Eastern CT Eagles (Groton, CT), by a margin of 4-2.
The Bucks now possess a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Newington Co-op for a Central Connecticut - South challenge on Saturday, February 10.
The (3-9) will now prepare for their challenge against SGWL [Suffield/Granby/Windsor Locks] (Suffield, CT). The Wildcats enter the Nutmeg Conference challenge with a 4-0 record. In their last challenge, SGWL [Suffield/Granby/Windsor Locks] tipped Housatonic/Northwestern/Wamogo (Falls Village, CT), 8-2, in a league challenge.
