Valley Vikings (Hazelton, ID) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Liberty Charter Patriots (Nampa, ID), 49-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Valley upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Vikings host Grace (Grace, ID) to clash with the Grizzlies in a non-league bout on Friday, February 2. The Grizzlies go into the bout with a record of 0-2.

Next up, the Patriots clash with the Crane Mustangs (Crane, OR) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 29. Liberty Charter will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record.
