The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Platte County Pirates (Platte City, MO) and the host Barstow Knights (Kansas City, MO), observed Platte County's basketball team overcome Barstow by a score of 56-39.

The Pirates (6-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Blue Springs South (Blue Springs, MO). The Jaguars come into the Freelance challenge with a 11-4 record. In their last challenge, Blue Springs South defeated Liberty North (Liberty, MO), 54-51, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Knights battle the Heritage Christian Academy Chargers (Olathe, KS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Barstow will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 9-3 record after their 66-60 league loss to Bishop Seabury Academy (Lawrence, KS).
