The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Combine Academy Varsity Goats (Lincolnton, NC) and the visiting Greater Vision Academy Lions (Gibsonville, NC), observed Combine Academy Varsity's basketball team overcome Greater Vision Academy by a margin of 71-58.

The Goats (5-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Combine Academy Global (Lincolnton, NC). The Goats come into the CAASC Western challenge with a 9-9 record. In their last challenge, Combine Academy Global defeated Carter G. Woodson (Winston-Salem, NC), 49-46, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Lions battle the Iron Academy Swordsmen (Raleigh, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Greater Vision Academy will attempt to better on its 5-8 season record. The Swordsmen come into the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 40-34 non-league loss to Fletcher Academy (Raleigh, NC).
