In Monday's non-league contest, the host Mercer County Golden Eagles basketball team scored a good 50-41 triumph over the Farmington Farmers.
The Golden Eagles (8-15) will now prepare for their contest against Monmouth-Roseville (Monmouth, IL). The Titans go into the Three Rivers - West contest with a 10-11 record. In their last contest, Monmouth-Roseville was topped by Riverdale (Port Byron, IL), 56-40, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Farmers battle the Lewistown Indians (Lewistown, IL) in a Prairieland contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Farmington will attempt to better on its 7-12 season record. The Indians go into the contest with a 4-16 record after their 55-17 league loss to Brimfield (Brimfield, IL).
