With the victory, Newport advances its record to 19-6 on the year. The Greyhounds host Walnut Ridge (Walnut Ridge, AR) to clash with the Bobcats in a 3A Region 3 test on Tuesday, January 28. The Hornets (0-9) will now prepare for their test against Lee (Marianna, AR). The Trojans come into the 2A Region 6 test with a 11-11 record.
