In Monday's league contest, the visiting Lac qui Parle Valley Eagles basketball team scored a close 64-59 triumph over the Minneota Vikings.

The Eagles (7-10) will now prepare for their contest against Yellow Medicine East (Granite Falls, MN). The Sting go into the A Section 3 contest with a 2-16 record. In their last contest, Yellow Medicine East was tipped by B O L D (Olivia, MN), 72-41, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Vikings battle the MACCRAY Wolverines (Clara City, MN) in a A Section 3 battle, on Thursday, January 30. Minneota will attempt to advance on its 6-9 season record.
