The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Altavista Colonels (Altavista, VA) and the visiting Westover Christian Academy Bulldogs (Danville, VA), observed Altavista's basketball team edge Westover Christian Academy by a score of 56-54.
The Colonels (3-12) will now prepare for their challenge against William Campbell (Naruna, VA). The Generals come into the Dogwood challenge with a 7-6 record. In their last challenge, William Campbell edged Gretna (Gretna, VA), 45-41, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy Ospreys (Moneta, VA) in a Virginia Christian challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Westover Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 10-6 season record. The Ospreys come into the challenge with a 11-2 record after their 54-20 league win over Timberlake Christian (Forest, VA).
