West Virginia High School Basketball - Capital holds off South Charleston

The Capital Cougars basketball team scored 46 points and limited the visiting South Charleston Black Eagles to 45 in the Cougars league triumph on Monday.
The Cougars now have a 4-9 record. They play next when they travel to Parkersburg for a Mountain State game on Wednesday, January 29. Capital will confront a Big Reds team coming off a 61-52 non-league win over Wheeling Park (Wheeling, WV). The Big Reds record now stands at 10-3.
With the loss, South Charleston falls to 5-7 on the campaign. The Black eagles travel to Hoover (Clendenin, WV) to confront the Huskies in a non-league game on Wednesday, January 29. The Huskies go into the game with a record of 4-8. Hoover lost 54-43 in their recent league game against Sissonville (Charleston, WV)
