The Spartans (7-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Taft (Lincoln City, OR). The Tigers come into the 3A PacWest challenge with a 13-5 record. In their last challenge, Taft edged Scio (Scio, OR), 47-36, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Pirates encounter the Blanchet Catholic Cavaliers (Salem, OR) in a 3A PacWest challenge, on Wednesday, January 29. Dayton will attempt to improve on its 7-8 season record. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a 5-13 record after their 52-35 league loss to Jefferson (Jefferson, OR).
