In Monday's non-league test, the Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, IA) basketball squad trounced the host Nevada Cubs (Nevada, IA), by a score of 70-48.
Next, the Tigers clash with the Carlisle Wildcats (Carlisle, IA) in a Raccoon River test, on Friday, January 31. Gilbert will attempt to improve on its 9-6 season record. The Wildcats come into the test with a 13-3 record after their 47-29 league win over Ballard (Huxley, IA).
The Cubs (7-10) will now prepare for their test against Greene County (Jefferson, IA). The Rams come into the Heart of Iowa test with a 0-17 record. In their last test, Greene County was routed by Prairie City-Monroe (Monroe, IA), 68-14, in a league test.
