The Sigourney Savages basketball team scored 53 points and limited the host Highland Huskies to 35 in the Savages non-league triumph on Monday.

The Savages now have a 14-4 record. They play next when they host Belle Plaine for a South Iowa Cedar game on Tuesday, January 28. Sigourney will confront a Plainsmen team coming off a 44-19 league loss to English Valleys (North English, IA). The Plainsmen record now stands at 1-15.

With the loss, Highland falls to 10-7 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Pekin (Packwood, IA) to confront the Panthers in a SEI - North game on Friday, January 31. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 8-10. Pekin lost 40-32 in their recent league game against Hillcrest Academy (Kalona, IA)
