The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Jackson County Central Huskies (Jackson, MN) and the host Maple River Eagles (Mapleton, MN), observed Jackson County Central's basketball team overcome Maple River by a margin of 95-78.

The Huskies (13-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Pipestone (Pipestone, MN). The Arrows come into the AA Section 3 challenge with a 11-8 record. In their last challenge, Pipestone dropped by Southwest Minnesota Christian (Edgerton, MN), 64-54, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Minnesota Valley Lutheran Chargers (New Ulm, MN) in a AA Section 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Maple River will attempt to better on its 12-18 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 12-6 record after their 74-55 non-league win over Medford (Medford, MN).
