The Alcona Tigers basketball team scored 73 points and restricted the visiting Au Gres-Sims Wolverines to 52 in the Tigers league victory on Friday.
The Tigers now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Atlanta for a North Star contest on Monday, January 31. Alcona will battle a Huskies team coming off a 66-47 non-league win over Whittemore-Prescott (Whittemore, MI). The Huskies record now stands at 6-4.
The Wolverines (4-5) will now prepare for their contest against Whittemore-Prescott (Whittemore, MI). The Cardinals come into the non-league contest with a 1-7 record. In their last contest, Whittemore-Prescott was routed by Atlanta (Atlanta, MI), 66-47, in a non-league contest.
