Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Greenville Comets (Greenville, IL) and the visiting Gillespie Miners (Gillespie, IL), saw Greenville's basketball squad wallop Gillespie by a tally of 75-49.
With the victory, Greenville improves its record to 9-15 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Hillsboro (Hillsboro, IL) to play the Hiltoppers in a South Central challenge on Friday, February 4. The Hiltoppers come into the challenge with a record of 15-10. Hillsboro won 62-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Pawnee (Pawnee, IL)
Next up, the Miners play the Litchfield Purple Panthers (Litchfield, IL) in a South Central challenge, on Friday, February 4. Gillespie will attempt to improve on its 3-14 season record.
