In Friday's league match, the host Shenandoah Mustangs basketball team scored a good 47-38 triumph over the Denison-Schleswig Monarchs.
In their next game, the Mustangs meet the Jefferson Yellowjackets (Council Bluffs, IA) in a non-league match, on Monday, January 31. Shenandoah will attempt to move on its 10-8 season record.
With the defeat, Denison-Schleswig moves to 6-8 on the year. The Monarchs travel to Spencer (Spencer, IA) to meet the Tigers in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 1. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 10-6. Spencer won 51-40 in their recent league match against Storm Lake (Storm Lake, IA)
